Gateway Community & Technical College recently celebrated 14 new graduates from its LIFT workforce development program.

Officially called the Logistics, Inventory Management, Facilities Management and Transportation program, the 10-week, free course of study is aimed to help underemployed adults develop valuable professional skills in high-demand fields.

Student complete their training with the help of warehouse professionals at the Freestore Foodbank, which serves a network of food bank warehouses in the tri-state region. This year’s class will mark the 22nd cohort of graduates.

“Gateway is extremely proud of the LIFT graduates and their accomplishments,” said Christi Godman, Gateway’s vice president of workforce solutions in a press release from the college. “Our partnership with Freestore Foodbank has been invaluable in providing LIFT students with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed in their career paths. We look forward to continuing our partnership and supporting the workforce development needs of our community.”
