Over 150 people are expected to swim 900 meters across the Ohio River for the annual Ohio River Swim event on Sunday, Aug. 27.
The river will be closed for the event Aug. 27 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. This will be between the Daniel Carter Beard (Big Mac) Bridge and the Taylor Southgate Bridge.
Swimmers will launch from the Serpentine Wall in Cincinnati, swimming across the river to the Kentucky shore and then back to the public landing.
First responders from Kentucky and Ohio will be on the river to assist the swimmers and enforce the river closure.
