The Boone County Fiscal Court has approved the awarding of a bid to a company to provide bins for its recycling efforts.
Bids were received on Aug. 9, and Pro-Tainer, Inc. submitted the sole bid of $52,998, Boone County Assistant County Administrator/County Engineer Rob Franxman said, adding the approved recycling grant was $54,270.
“During preparation of the fiscal year 2024 recycling grant submittal, Boone County elected to request purchase of additional bins to support the county’s recycling program,” Franxman said. “The grant approved the purchase of 12 small cardboard containers and two large containers for mixed recycling.”
