Northern Kentucky Young Professionals announced Jimmy Beatrice, benefits advisor with Business Benefits Insurance Solutions, as its 2023-24 chair.

As part of the NKY Chamber’s effort to focus on talent attraction and retention, the group strives to create opportunities for young professionals in the region, according to a recent press release.

This includes connecting with peers, enhancing professional development opportunities, and making an impact through diversity and inclusion initiatives as a key talent strategy to help local young professionals grow and compete nationally.

Outgoing Chair Mike Ballenge will continue in his role until Aug. 31.

At least over the last three years, Beatrice said, the process to become chair has been that the current chair selects a vice chair, and then that person fills the chair role.

Beatrice said Ballenger asked him last August to be his vice chair and said he knew then he would become chair for 2023-24. He will hold the role from September 2023 through August 2024.

According to Beatrice, typically, the outgoing chair stays involved in NKYP for another year on the steering committee and is also asked to have a seat on the Board of Directors at the NKY Chamber.
