FUEL NKU, Northern Kentucky University’s on-campus food pantry, and NKU Sustainability have saved over 3,000 pounds of food waste from landfills in just one year, according to a press release from the university.

Composting became part of FUEL’s daily operations last summer when NKU partnered with GoZero Services to further sustainability efforts. To date, NKU has diverted 3,286 pounds of waste.
