The Boone County Fiscal Court has approved hiring a pair of individuals to help address its emergency dispatcher shortage.
Brice Lovell and Samuel Moreno have been added to the Public Safety Communications Center staff. Boone County Human Resources Director Lori Zombek noted the center is now down six dispatchers.
“Brice comes to us with customer service and some college and Samuel actually has an EMT/security background,” Zombek said
Between three and five additional Public Safety Communications Center dispatcher candidates may be presented to the court within the next month, Zombek said, attributing the recent uptick in emergency dispatcher applicants to bolstered recruitment efforts.
