The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 6 office announced overnight and weekend lane closures for a resurfacing project on I-471 in Campbell County.
This project will include a small section of the southern portion of KY 471. The resurfacing project will also address the exit on/off ramps on I-471 and ramps from I-275.
Weather permitting, work will begin on Monday, July 31. The resurfacing portion of the project is expected to start Friday, August 11.
Lane closures will be permitted during the following times:
- I-471 Northbound/Southbound:
- Weekdays: single lane closures between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Traffic may be reduced to one lane beginning at 11 p.m. All lanes must reopen by 5 a.m.
- Weekends: Beginning Friday at 8 p.m. through Monday at 5 a.m., traffic in a single direction of I-471 may be reduced to one lane.
Exit Ramps:
- All work on two-lane ramps will be performed using part-width construction while maintaining one traffic lane.
- Single-lane closures on two-lane ramps will occur between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
- Overnight single-lane ramps will closed between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. No two ramps in the same direction will be closed on the same evening.
- KYTC will advise motorists ahead of any exit ramp closures. Message boards will be in place to warn motorists of upcoming work, closures, and any possible slowdowns on I-275, I-471, I-71, and US-50 in Kentucky and Ohio.
