Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Crestview Hills is hosting a free seminar on communicating with people with dementia and other forms of memory loss at their church in September.
The seminar will feature guest speaker Teresa Youngstrom, a registered nurse and dementia specialist. Friends, family and other caregivers are invited to attend but must RSVP by Sept. 14.
The workshop will help loved ones “understand the behavior of someone with memory loss and to learn skills to improve your communication with them,” according to a press release from Gloria Dei.
