The world’s longest yard sale, known as the “127 Yard Sale,” is running through Northern Kentucky in early August.
The yard sale is set for Aug. 3-6 and features more than 2,000 vendors that post up along the U.S. 127 corridor that extends from Addison, Michigan to Gadsden, Alabama, and includes six states and is 690 miles.
The event started in 1987 when a county executive in Jamestown, Tennessee, wanted to encourage those traveling along the main interstate routes, such as I-75 and I-40, to take the more scenic routes the states had to offer.
