The City of Florence received a Workers’ Compensation Safety Grant from the Kentucky League of Cities, which is funding programs focused on making the city safer.

The League of Cities awards the money to Insurance Services workers’ compensation members that help fund safety programs and reduces liability — the group has given more than $6.3 million in liability and safety grants since 1999.

“We are honored to be a recipient of the Kentucky League of Cities 2023 Safety Grant,” said Florence Mayor Julie Metzger-Aubuchon. “Maintaining safe work practices, as well as safe work sites, is our number one priority. Programs such as the KLC Safety Grant greatly help our city and staff continue to perform their jobs in a safe and efficient manner.”
