During Tuesday’s Boone County Fiscal Court session, the body is expected to consider a resolution expressing support for a traffic safety initiative known as Vision Zero.
According to the Vision Zero Network, the collaborative campaign helps communities reach their goals of Vision Zero — eliminating all traffic fatalities and severe injuries — while increasing safe, healthy, equitable mobility for all.
Vision Zero Network officials indicated the nonprofit project is committed to building momentum and advancing Vision Zero in communities nationwide, recognizing everyone has the right to safe mobility – whether walking, bicycling, driving, riding a scooter, using a wheelchair or riding transit.
The meeting will be conducted at the Boone County Administration Building in Burlington at 5:30 p.m.
