Augusta Distillery’s Buckner’s 13-year single barrel expression was named the Best Bourbon in the World for 2023 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition — a competition some consider the Oscars of the spirits industry.
Buckner’s was up against more than a dozen finalists from multiple categories to be named the winner for “Best-in-Class,” the competition’s top overall award for bourbon. In total, 503 bourbons were evaluated.
The San Francisco World Spirits Competition featured over 3,700 entries and is the same competition that propelled Tito’s Vodka to global recognition.
The latest win for Augusta Distillery, located in Augusta, comes on the heels of Augusta Distillery’s Buckner’s 15-year expression being named both Best Craft Bourbon and Best Craft Whiskey in the United States by the American Distilling Institute.
