North Pointe Elementary School Resource Officer Deputy Mike Kappes is the 2023 Kentucky Association of School Resource Officers SRO of the Year.
Vice President of the Kentucky Association of School Resources Officers Deputy William Rude presented Kappes the award Thursday night at the Boone County Board of Education meeting.
“Everybody in this room should be extremely proud of this school district and the working relationship they have with us and that we have with them,” Kappes said. “Because I can tell you I work in a great school, and I can’t say the great things about everybody in that building.”
