Four-time NBA champion and two-time MVP Stephen Curry is launching his own bourbon in partnership with a Northern Kentucky distillery.

The bourbon is titled “Gentleman’s Cut” and is being distilled at The Boone County Distilling Company in Florence. Retailing for $79.99 per 750-milliliter bottle, it will be distributed both nationally and internationally. Additionally, it’s distilled in a 500-gallon copper pot and is 90-proof.

“I’m proud to have helped carefully craft a new signature Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Gentleman’s Cut,” Curry said. “This rich, complex and bold bourbon is the perfect offering to commemorate life’s great occasions, and will be part of a raised-glass toasting moment in the lives of my fans, friends and family.”

Curry’s own company, SC30 Inc., partnered with John Schwartz, owner of Amuse Bouche Winery in Napa Valley, CA, to forge a joint venture with Boone County Distilling.

“In close collaboration with Stephen, we produced a high-quality aged bourbon offered at a great value that will resonate with bourbon connoisseurs and help grow the craft bourbon category to our global audience,” Schwartz said.

Gentleman’s Cut reached a distribution agreement with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits to put the bourbon on store shelves across the United States. Multinational distributor China Duty Free Group will be one the importers setting up the brand internationally. The company operates more than 200 stores in 70 cities.

Featuring Curry’s signature on the front label, the bourbon is aged five to seven years in charred new white oak barrels. This gives the bourbon cinnamon, caramel and toasted chestnut taste notes. Its mashbill is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley.

“Celebrations take on many different forms, from intimate gatherings to major milestones, and at the center of each memorable moment is a spirit rooted in history and tradition,” Curry said.
