Students in Northern Kentucky University’s Haile College of Business stood out with their performance at the 2023 Econ Games, finishing third out of 18 teams with the youngest team in the competition.
The joint program, developed by NKU and University of Kentucky to connect students with industry partners, allowed students to showcase their economic business data skills, connect with top industry sponsors, and demonstrate their analytical skills. Eighteen NKU students participated in the competition featuring 120 participants from 12 institutions nationwide.
The 2023 Econ Games were held on March 23-24 at Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky. The NKU team comprised of captains Allyson Kunkel, James Blazina, Becca Wilson, and Asia Norman, in addition to team members, Reach Thearith, Anna Vroegindewey, Mary Merklin, Mariam Sidiahmed, and Jamen Walz. Ryan Goss and Abdullah Al-Bahrani served as faculty advisors.
