A man who escaped from the Campbell County Detention Center is back in custody.

Robert L. Day, 35, escaped around 3 p.m. Wednesday while on work release, Kentucky State Police said in a press release. According to Major Zachary Smith with the Campbell County Detention Center, Day was arrested Wednesday night after being found at his girlfriend’s house in Butler County.

Day was in custody on a possession of a firearm by a convicted felon charge.
