One of Covington’s most highly anticipated construction projects is now completed.
North by Hotel Covington and Knowledge Bar & Social Room cost roughly $26.5 million to complete and will be accepting bookings in May.
In the meantime, a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the hotel and bar is scheduled for Tuesday, April 11, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 638 Madison Ave. in Covington.
North by Hotel Covington is an addition to the original Hotel Covington. The building, which spans 72,000 square feet, had been vacant since 2015 and was once occupied by the YMCA and Gateway Bookstore. North by Hotel Covington boasts 53 opulent suites and lofts, effectively expanding Hotel Covington’s presence by a city block.
The extension offers a range of amenities, such as a meeting space, a ballroom that can accommodate up to 500 guests, and a bar and social area called the Knowledge Bar & Social Room.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Salyers Group President Guy van Rooyen, Covington Mayor Joe Meyer, president of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Brent Cooper, and Julie Kirkpatrick, the CEO and president of meetNKY will address the audience.
