Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center, a Florence-based nonprofit that focuses on interventions related to child abuse, recently received $5,000 in grant funds from Give Where You Live NKY, a regional fundraising initiative jointly administered by Horizon Community Funds and Mueller Financial, Inc.
“The Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center provides such critical services to our local children who have experienced child abuse,” said CEO Nancy Grayson in a press release from the Horizon Community Funds. “We know this grant will help these youth heal and will provide them with an opportunity to achieve a healthy life.”
In the same release, Vickie Henderson, the executive director of Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center, said, “We were thrilled to be the recipient of the Give Where You Live NKY funding and thank those who made this opportunity possible! Many of the children whom NKYCAC serves come to discuss incredibly traumatic events.”
