Mark your calendars. The Campbell County spring clean-up event is taking place next month.

On Friday, April 28, and Saturday, April 29, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Campbell County residents can take advantage of the free dump days.

The event is only available to Campbell County residents; therefore, proof of residency or photo identification is required. Participants are also asked to unload their vehicles.

Items accepted depend on the drop-off location.  

The Campbell County Police Department, 8774 Constable Drive, Alexandria

Acceptable items:

  • Furniture and mattresses
  • Trash and debris
  • Yard waste

Frederick’s Landing, KY 9-AA Highway, Wilder

Acceptable items:

  • Furniture and mattresses
  • Trash and debris
  • Yard waste

Pendery Park, 4113 Williams Lane, Melbourne

Acceptable items:

  • Furniture and mattresses
  • Trash and debris
  • Yard waste

Campbell County Transportation Center, 1175 Racetrack Rd., Alexandria

Acceptable items:

  • Appliances
  • Batteries (vehicle and rechargeable only)
  • Electronics (limit one tv per vehicle)
  • Propane tanks
  • Scrap metal (all fluids must be removed)
  • Tires (limit of eight)

Non-acceptable items at all locations include:

  • Paint
  • Liquids
  • Junk vehicles
  • Hazardous waste
  • Fluorescent Bulbs
  • Dirt
  • Concrete
  • Rocks
