Nearly one year ago, Russia invaded Ukraine, resulting in a severe escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War.

Now, NKY Uniting for Ukraine, a community group that supports local Ukrainian refugees displaced by the war, is gathering to honor the Ukrainian refugees in Northern Kentucky, as well as commemorating the first anniversary of the invasion.

The gathering is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Riedlin-Schott Community Room at the Kenton County Government Center. The address is 1840 Simon Kenton Way in Covington.
