Alexandria to commemorate 50 years since Vietnam War

A Vietnam War 50th commemoration is being held to recognize, thank, and honor U.S. military veterans who served during the Vietnam War.  

On Monday, March 6, the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution,  Vietnam Veterans of America, and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) will join in honoring all Vietnam veterans with active-duty status from 1955 to 1975. Families of the veterans are also invited to attend.

The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. at VFW Post #3205, 8261 Alexandria Pike in Alexandria. Light refreshments will be served.  

Veterans will be recognized and given a Vietnam veteran lapel pin from the U.S. government commemorating their service.
