The snowstorm that popped up Sunday may have come as a bit of a surprise; here’s a look at winter weather we’re expected to get throughout this week so we aren’t caught off guard again (hopefully).

Early morning Sunday brought heavy, quickly accumulating snow with both Boone and Kenton counties declaring snow emergencies and accumulation of four to six inches in some areas, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS Tweeted out Sunday that temperatures rising above freezing normally lead to slushy conditions and the roads clearing relatively quickly.

While the roads mostly look fine Monday, they might be snowy again pretty soon.

The NWS is forecasting one to two inches of snow Tuesday night into Wednesday. They say this will impact commuters Wednesday morning. We may see another repeat of Sunday, however, because highs on Wednesday are expected to be in the low 40s.

There is also a 30% chance of snow showers throughout the day and evening on Thursday.
