Campbell County Adult Education is offering a series of free online classes starting Jan. 9.
Adults over 18 who would like help in specific subjects as they prepare to take General Education Development test (GED) can get help online starting Monday, Jan. 9. Sessions run Mondays through Thursdays and are offered for four weeks. Participants can start at any time during that period and take one or any number of sessions and subjects.
The classes are:
- Mondays: Pre-Algebra, at 11 a.m.; Math topics at 1 p.m.
- Tuesdays: Geometry at 2 p.m.; Pre-algebra at 6 p.m.
- Wednesdays: Social Studies at 11 a.m.; Math topics at 1 p.m.
- Thursdays: IXL help at 2 p.m. (IXL is a digital learning space that covers a variety of topics including math and English)
Campbell County Adult Education, offered through Newport Independent Schools, is an award-winning GED program ranked No. 1 in the state by the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.
