Hoxworth Blood Center is calling on the Greater Cincinnati community to roll up its sleeves and give the gift of life this holiday season.
Low donor turnout and increased usage in area hospitals have depleted the local blood supply, and Hoxworth is asking eligible donors to schedule their lifesaving donations as soon as possible.
Due to the inclement weather, Hoxworth will be closed on Friday, Dec. 23. Those who have an appointment scheduled are asked to reschedule at their earliest convenience.
Hoxworth locations will reopen at 8 a.m. on Saturday. Donors are especially needed Saturday, Dec. 24, and Monday, Dec. 26, to offset the holiday closure.

- Dec. 24 and 26: Cincinnati football sweatshirt for all donors
- Dec. 27-31: eGift card for all donors ($10 whole blood, $15 red cell, $20 platelets)
