A man was hospitalized early Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Florence, according to Florence police.
Around 12:55 a.m., a pedestrian was walking across Burlington Pike as a vehicle was traveling westbound in the left lane when the vehicle was unable to stop and struck the man.
Police said the man was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle were uninjured.
Police said they are investigating the accident, and are asking anyone with more information to contact the Florence Police Department.
