The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is slated to host the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Summit Series at Gatewood Community and Technical College on Friday.

The event is from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m. on Oct. 21.

October is National Disability Awareness month, so for this year’s summit, speakers will talk about creating an inclusive work culture for people with disabilities, disadvantages and veterans.

Debbie Smith, Kent Huxel and Aaron Wagner from Easterseals Redwood will speak about how the integration of individuals with disabilities or disadvantages can be an asset to companies’ culture, productivity, and overall growth.

These strategy sessions are meant to generate ideas and questions to be discussed through strategic guidance in order to create measurable outcomes.

There is limited seating, and only 60 people can be accommodated.
