One man is dead and another faces charges after a late night/early morning shooting in Florence over the weekend.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Becky Court after receiving a report of a shooting just after midnight Sunday. Skyelor Centers, 24, of Florence, was found with two gunshot wounds.
He died at the scene.
Robert E. Sano, 23, of Erlanger, was arrested and charged with one count of second degree manslaughter.
Deputies said that Sano arrived on Becky Court and encountered Centers outside a residence. Centers, who was unarmed, confronted Sano, deputies said, and was shot two times.
The sheriff’s office did not provide details on the circumstances of this deadly encounter.
Sano was arrested on scene and the gun was recovered from his vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.
Sano is being held at the Boone County Detention Center.
