The Behringer-Crawford Museum is providing preschool-aged kids and their caregivers with a way to escape the summer heat and flex their creative muscles while doing it.

Chippie’s Sensational Kids Club, an arctic themed educational program for preschool-aged kids, starts Tuesday, July 12 at 11 a.m. at the Behringer-Crawford Museum.

Preschoolers and their caregivers will have an opportunity to create their own art, go ice fishing and do science experiments.

The program is designed to help preschoolers with reading readiness and socialization, while providing them with S.T.R.E.A.M. (science, technology, reading, engineering, art and math) activities.

The Chippie’s Sensational Kids Club sessions are held monthly at the museum, located at 1600 Montague Road in Covington. It costs $3, plus museum admission. Children in attendance are required to be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required at least three days in advance.
