Boone County Judge/Executive Gary Moore recently renewed his call to get residents more involved in public meetings, so here is a list of scheduled government meetings the public can attend:

On Monday, government offices will be closed for the Fourth of July holiday, so some meetings that are typically held on Mondays have been bumped to Tuesday.

Tuesday, July 5:

Walton City Council will hold a caucus meeting starting at 7 p.m. at the Walton Senior Center, located at 44 N. Main St. in Walton. The meeting is available by Zoom. View the agenda and previous meeting videos at cityofwalton.org

Held separately from business meetings, caucus meetings are typically non-voting sessions that are more open-format forums for the council and the public.

Wednesday, July 6:

The Union City Commission will hold a business meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Union City Building, located at 1843 Bristow Drive in Union. View the agenda and minutes from previous meetings at cityofunion.org

The Boone County Planning Commission will hold a committee meeting for the long range/comprehensive plan at 6 p.m. inside the Boone County Fiscal Courtroom. At 7 p.m., the full commission will meet in the courtroom, inside the Boone County Administration Building, which is located at 2950 Washington St. in Burlington.
