Boone County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a 27-year-old man on one count of rape in the third degree.

Court C. Clark, of Cold Spring, turned himself in on Wednesday, June 22, after a former tennis student he once taught when she was 15 reported that he “engaged in sexual intercourse at her home in Boone County” back in 2019.

The victim told Boone County detectives she met her tennis instructor, who was 24 at the time, at a private club in 2019 when she was 15. According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, the victim then received flirtatious texts from Clark while she was away on spring break that year. That same year is when Clark and the victim allegedly had intercourse, the sheriff’s office said.

Clark “made admissions in a recorded statement supporting the rape allegation,” the sheriff’s office said.

After detectives issued a warrant for his arrest, he turned himself in.

Clark is being held on a $50,000 bond at the Boone County Detention Center.
