The Fischer Group has announced Michael Kady as the new president of its Grand Communities affiliate. Kady replaces Todd Huss, who served as president of Grand Communities for 17 years and is retiring at the end of 2022.

“Todd Huss has been a key contributor to our growth and success throughout his tenure,” said Tim McMahon, president and chief operating officer of Fischer Homes. “We thank Todd for his professionalism, his ability to meet the expanding needs of our business, and his sound decision-making. I look forward to Michael Kady leading our organization in planning, development, and land acquisition efforts as the Fischer Group continues to actively seek land in top locations to further expand our footprint in each of our markets.”

Before joining the Fischer Group, Kady worked 18 years as an engineering consultant in Columbus and Cincinnati. He received his bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Tennessee and his master of business administration from Xavier University. Kady is also a licensed professional engineer in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.

Kady started with the Fischer Group in 2018 as a land development manager. He was promoted to vice president of site engineering & site design in November 2020.

Huss will continue with the Fischer Group through the end of 2022 as the ‘president of Grand Communities emeritus’.
