A man fled on foot after allegedly robbing the 5/3 Bank branch at 107 Brent Spence Square (off Fourth Street) in Covington on Thursday afternoon, Covington police confirmed.

The bank used its “hold-up” alarm to alert police to the robbery at around 2:40 p.m.

LINK nky was on the scene as police vehicles descended and while the area was searched, the suspect got away.

Covington Police said that the man wanted in the robbery fled west in the alley behind the bank. It is not known whether the suspect is armed, though no weapon was presented during the robbery, police said.

The man is believed to be between 25 and 30 years old with a slim build and a heigh around 6-ft. to 6-ft.-3-in.

Covington Police’s Brian Valenti said this branch has been robbed numerous times because, he suspects, it’s near the highway, though he didn’t think that was a factor in this case.
