Mike’s Carwash is opening its third Northern Kentucky location on Dixie Highway in Erlanger this fall.

Company leaders joined officials from Erlanger Tuesday for a groundbreaking of the new location, which will be on the site of the former Shoe Palace building just south of Kenton Lands Road.

“Northern Kentucky is a vibrant, rapidly-expanding area that represents a tremendous growth opportunity for Mike’s in the coming years,” said Mike’s Carwash President Mike Dahm.

Erlanger mayor Jessica Fette said she was thrilled to welcome Mike’s Carwash to the area.

“The leadership at Mike’s Carwash clearly recognized that Erlanger is the place to own and operate a business in an area that draws tens of thousands of commuters and potential customers every day of the week,” Fette said.

The company celebrates grand openings of new locations with a Free Wash Weekend, during which the company gives away free Ultimate Washes while collecting monetary donations to local charitable organizations.

“From its earliest days, Mike’s Carwash has had a philosophy that we are an integral part of every community in which we do business,” Dahm said. “As such, we believe it is important to give back to those communities, which is why we create fund-raising programs to support valuable organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Anthony Munoz Foundation and the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund.”
