A young male was shot multiple times in Erlanger on Wednesday evening and now an 18-year old man faces multiple charges.

Erlanger Police were called to the 3200 block of Riggs Avenue after receiving a call about shots having been fired.

The victim, identified by police as a “juvenile male”, was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Initially, police said that they believed to be searching for three suspects, but ultimately discovered that there was just one.

A few hours later, Quenton Abell, 18, was taken into custody after arriving at the police department, Erlanger Police said. He is being held at the Kenton County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.

Abell is charged with first degree assault and first degree wanton endangerment.

He is scheduled to appear in Kenton Co. District Court next Tuesday, March 15 at 1:30 p.m.
