Fort Thomas police are asking the public’s help in locating a vehicle they say has been used to commit thefts at laundromats and other businesses with coin vending in the Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati area.

The vehicle is a black Chevrolet Cobalt that is believed to be a 2008 model. Police say at least two license plates are being used on the vehicle: Ohio JEL2790 and Ohio GLE6176.

“They’re trying to be pretty sneaky about it,” Lt. Adam Noe said. “They keep alluding us.”

The Chevy emblem on the trunk is sometimes gold and sometimes black, police said. The front seats may or may not have an orange trim seat cover.

Thefts have occurred in Delhi, Covington, Fort Thomas, Newport, Miami Township and Pierce Township since the end of January, Police said.

Fort Thomas police ask that anyone who sees the vehicle contact Detective Wayne Dutle at 859-572-1239 or Lt. Adam Noe at 859-572-1271.

Police warn not to approach the vehicle.
