Tammy Nolan said she is running for Bellevue City Council because she wants residents to have a voice in city government and for their concerns to be heard.

Nolan works for the Administrative Office of the Courts, where she said she serves individuals and families throughout Northern Kentucky. She said her commitment to serving others motivated her to run for council.

Nolan faces Mike Almoslechner, Chasity Bothman, Steve Guidugli, Kara Harp, Shauna Kruse, John “Jack” Ondeck and Charlie Zimmerman in the Nov. 3 general election.

“My promise is simple: I will listen to Bellevue residents and stand up for them,” Nolan said.

If elected, Nolan said she wants to carefully consider city taxes, spending and ordinances while protecting residents from unnecessary financial burdens. She also wants to support small businesses and local entrepreneurs.

Nolan identified privacy as another priority and said she would carefully consider measures such as the city’s use of Flock cameras.

She also wants to protect Bellevue’s green space and character while considering where and how future development occurs.

Nolan said traffic and pedestrian safety, particularly along Fairfield Avenue, would also be a focus. She wants the city to pursue traffic studies and potential solutions to improve safety and traffic flow.

Nolan said she would also work with the police department and other officials to address concerns about whether vehicles with out-of-state tags are properly registered and taxed in Kentucky.
