Shelley Funke Frommeyer said she is seeking re-election to ensure Northern Kentucky remains a thriving engine for economic growth, safe communities and vibrant family life.
Funke Frommeyer said she is also seeking re-election to continue working to lower state income taxes, but she said true prosperity also requires a healthier Commonwealth. She wants to build on the momentum to empower families, cut red tape and protect the area’s unique quality of life.
Funke Frommeyer is facing Democrat Joshua Baker in the Nov. 3 general election.
“Readers may love knowing I am a fiduciary- as a Certified Financial Planner, wealth advisor, I work to gather information and make informed decisions in what I believe is in the best interest of my clients,” Funke Frommeyer said. “I take that value and commitment to my work as a State Senator. I am also celebrating the birth of our 11th grandchild. My commitment to affordability—by tackling waste, fraud and other factors weighing heavily on our tax paying families is my priority.”
What motivates Funke Frommeyer to work in public service, she said, is the resilience of her neighbors and a deep desire to tackle the state’s toughest long-term challenges. She said Kentucky battles some of the highest chronic disease and obesity rates in the nation. Leading the charge to champion health, wellness and common-sense policy motivates her every day, she said, to give families the tools and freedom to thrive.
If re-elected, Funke Frommeyer said her first priority is advancing the work of the “Make America Healthy Again Kentucky Task Force” to align the state’s agricultural and health policies, expand public awareness of healthy nutrition and reduce exposure to environmental risks, while maintaining a strict focus on regional economic development.
