David Ziegler is an incumbent candidate for the Ludlow City Council. There are eight candidates running for six spots on the council.
Ziegler was first elected to the council in 2023. He is a lifelong Ludlow resident who has been involved in several community institutions throughout his life, including a brief stint on the local school board.
“I’m very visible in Ludlow,” Ziegler said in 2023. “I’m always around. I’m always approachable. I think people aren’t afraid to come and talk to me.”
Since joining the council, Ziegler has advocated for building out the city’s business landscape and hiring a new city administrator after former City Administrator Scott Smith left. The city is currently without a city admin.
Ziegler was a critic of the Cityview Station development in the hills above the city’s main business district.
Ziegler did not respond to an interview request about this year’s election. This profile was created using publicly available information and previous reporting.
