The Boone County Sheriff’s Office took a 14-year-old Conner High School student into custody Tuesday after they said they received two reports of screenshots containing threats from the student that said he wanted to kill his teacher.
The sheriff’s office was made aware of the threats on a chat app Tuesday morning, then immediately investigated and took the student into custody.
Police said the student vaguely mentioned a school shooting but was more specific in saying, “im (sic) bringing a knife to school” and “its (sic) telling me to kill my teacher.”
Deputies made contact with the student at his home, where they said he confessed to making the threats during a conversation with a friend.
The student was charged with Terroristic Threatening 2nd Degree and he is currently housed at the Campbell County Juvenile Detention Center.
