A candidate for the Fort Thomas City Council race has dropped out.
Brandon Long announced on May 22 that he will no longer seek a seat on the city council. Long was one of 12 candidates who won in the May 19 primary.
“You see, this campaign wasn’t about personal ambition for me,” Long said in a Facebook post announcing his dropping out of the race. “It was about love for this city and hope for what Fort Thomas can become. That’s why I believe the right decision is for me to step aside. Leadership sometimes means knowing when to make space for others to serve and when to put the good of the city above personal goals.”
