With the primary election in Kentucky just weeks away, LINK nky is hosting a series of candidate forums to better inform local voters about their choices.

Each forum will be broadcast live on the LINK nky Facebook page at 7 p.m.

Here is our schedule:

Wednesday, April 27: Campbell County Judge/Executive Republican primary

*Incumbent Steve Pendery will join LINK nky’s Michael Monks for a conversation about his candidacy. Challenger Anna Zinkhon declined to participate.

Thursday, April 28: Kentucky House District 68 Republican primary

*Candidates Mike Clines, Mirna Eads, and Paul Kloeker will answer questions from LINK nky’s Michael Monks and Mark Payne.

Monday, May 2: Kentucky Senate District 20 Republican primary

*As this district moves into Northern Kentucky, Republican candidates will answer questions from LINK nky’s Michael Monks and Mark Payne.

Tuesday, May 3: Kentucky Senate District 24 Republican primary

*With the departure of incumbent Republican State Senator Wil Schroder, this seat is now open and GOP candidates will answer questions from LINK nky’s Michael Monks and Mark Payne.

Wednesday, May 4: Kentucky House District 69 Republican primary

*Incumbent State Rep. Adam Koenig, of Erlanger, faces a primary challenge from Erlanger City Councilman Steve Doan. The candidates will answer questions from LINK nky’s Michael Monks and Mark Payne.

Thursday, May 5: Newport city commission open primary

*There are enough candidates for the four seats on the Newport city commission that a primary is necessary to shrink the field to eight. Those eight will then advance to the November general election where four will be elected. With two incumbents not seeking reelection, a competitive field has emerged. Candidates will answer questions from LINK nky’s Michael Monks and Mark Payne.
