Newport on the Levee is expanding quickly, and one of the most recent additions serves up barbecue, live music, karaoke and more.
Shiners On The Levee hosted a grand opening Saturday, Dec. 3 where founder Kevin Dailey cut the ribbon to the new spot along with family, friends and Newport mayor Tom Guidugli.
The kitchen, helmed by executive chef Isaac Brown, focuses on classic smokehouse barbecue from “sandwiches to slabs” per their website. They say they’ve got something for everyone including vegetarian options.
The cocktail menu features moonshine-focused drinks so you can get nice and tipsy before braving the stage for karaoke or country line dancing nights. There is also live country music on Saturday nights and the bar will be staying open until 2 a.m. Then on Sundays and Mondays during football season you can stop by for watch parties.
