It was just your typical quiet, sunny Monday afternoon in Lakeside Park, until a car crashed into the side of Barleycorn’s shortly before 3 p.m. The restaurant & bar is located at the corner of Dixie Highway and Hudson Avenue.
According to the Lakeside Park Police, the car crashed into Barleycorn’s after avoiding another collision with a car that ran a red light.
The car ran through the wall and knocked over a bar on the other side. Workers removed drywall, glass beer mugs and other debris to clear up the crash site.
One person in the vehicle was injured. Two patrons inside the restaurant suffered minor injuries.
