Covington has been named one of 15 cities across the country now in the running for “Best Culinary Town in the South.”

The Local Palate, a magazine covering food culture in the American South, created the list, and you can cast your votes now for Covington (or any of the other cities!) through July 10.

“Our team of writers and editors is well-versed in what makes for a delicious small town destination. We hungrily research each town to determine which businesses, chefs, vendors and venues make the town’s culinary scene so unique,” said Erin Byers Murray, editor in chief of The Local Palate. “It’s an honor to show off all that these towns have to offer.”

Three cities on the list will come away as winners. Previous winners include Jackson, Mississippi, and Lafayette, Louisiana. The highest-ranked winner will be revealed in print on the cover of the magazine on Dec. 15.
