Ashley Nation, owner of Rekas Butcher and Delicatessen, is allowing members in the community to celebrate with the luck of the Irish, this St. Patrick’s Day.

Rekas in Covington is hiding a leprechaun sign within a 2-mile radius and hoping their customers can help them capture the little green mischief man.

“I’m going to start putting around Covington green footprints as like clues, of like where people should go, and trying to find like these handwritten clues, which they’ll also be on my Instagram,” Nation said.

The Leprechaun will move every few days around Covington adding new clues to create foot traffic into businesses.

“So tomorrow, people are going to be encouraged to go into Dicey Dyes and try and find the hidden clue and take pictures with it and tag both of our shops on Instagram,” she said.

There will be three clues in total. The winner of the final clue will win a prime steak, Nation said. She added Little Macha was joining the effort and giving away cans of matcha to the winner.
