Covington has approved 2026’s round of grant recipients for neighborhood projects throughout the city. The program, which is administered in partnership with the Center for Great Neighborhoods, helps neighborhood groups fund community projects. Roughly $35,000 in total were furnished to nine recipients, according to city documents.

The neighborhood groups below received grant funding for the following projects:

  • Residents of Mainstrasse: $5,000 for alley beautification and community events
  • Wallace Woods: $677.97 for copper planter labels and cigarette butt receptacles
  • Eastside+: $3,000 for work on the ‘Eastside’ sign island garden
  • Old Seminary Square: $2,000 for revitalizing Basil Lewis Park
  • Historic Licking Riverside Civic Association: $5,000 for replacing wood on park benches
  • Mutter Gottes: $5,000 for landscaping work on two triangle gardens
  • Friends of Peaselburg: $4,300 for the Justin Sims Park revitalization
  • Covington Neighborhood Collaborative: $2,500 for the Covington Neighborhood Summit
  • Center for Great Neighborhoods: $5,000 as an administration fee and $2,522.03 in contingency funding
