The Covington Neighborhood Collaborative and the Center for Great Neighborhoods announced the launch of the Glow Big or Glow Home Holiday Home Decorating Contest, a festive new initiative mixing creativity and holiday spirit across all 19 Covington neighborhoods.
Designed to highlight the joy, imagination and community pride that make Covington unique, the contest invites residents to submit a photo of their decorated home for a chance to be recognized as one of this year’s standout displays.
“Covington’s holiday spirit and creative flair make this river city such a fun place to live, work, and visit,” said chair of the Covington Neighborhood Collaborative Bil Spicer in a press release. “Celebrating that energy is part of what makes this season special.”
How It Works
Participating residents may submit one photo of their decorated home via the official contest form. Three homes will be selected as winners by a joint panel representing Covington Neighborhood Collaborative and Center for Great Neighborhoods. Winners will receive a “Holiday Home Winner” yard sign and citywide bragging rights.
The entry deadline is Dec. 15, and winners will be announced the week of Dec. 22.
Submitted photos may be featured on the Covington Neighborhood Collaborative website and Facebook page to showcase neighborhood pride and spark seasonal excitement citywide.
The contest embraces all styles of holiday décor — from warm and elegant to bold and illuminated.
“We want to celebrate the full range of festive creativity that Covington residents bring to their homes each season,” said Executive Director of the Center for Great Neighborhoods Shannon Ratterman in the release. “This contest is an opportunity to highlight residents’ efforts, strengthen community pride, and spread joy throughout our neighborhoods.”
