Newport-based New Riff Distilling and Cincinnati-based MadTree Brewing have teamed up to release Sway Raven’s Riff, a limited-edition canned bourbon highball.
A bourbon highball is typically made with bourbon, soda water and light flavor additions. Sway Raven’s Riff combines New Riff Kentucky Straight Bourbon with soda water and blood orange and cherry flavors. It is packaged in 12-ounce cans, sold in four-packs, and has an 8% alcohol content.
“This collaboration honors the old traditions that define great bourbon while innovating how bourbon is enjoyed,” New Riff President Mollie Lewis said in a news release. “The bourbon highball is an easy-drinking cocktail. Sway Raven’s Riff is a fun way to respect the heritage of bourbon-making while creating something new for how our community enjoys spirits.”
Sway Raven’s Riff is available at all MadTree taprooms and will soon be at New Riff’s Aquifer Tasting Room and retail locations throughout Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. The product will be available until the end of October.
