Nominations for the 2025 Covington Beautification Awards are now open.
The annual contest, which is administered by the Covington Neighborhood Collaborative, honors homes and businesses that showcase the beauty of the city, its history and its character.
“This beloved tradition honors residents and business owners whose hard work and creativity make Covington a more vibrant, welcoming place,” said a press release from the collaborative. “From the riverfront to South Covington, every neighborhood has hidden gems — and we want to celebrate them!”
Winners from each of the city’s neighborhoods will be honored at a special ceremony in Devou Park on Sept. 18.
To nominate a property, visit covingtoncnc.org, click the button labeled “2025 Covington Beautification Awards Entry Form,” and fill out the electronic form that appears.
Judging criteria, other contest information and photos of last year’s winners are also available at covingtoncnc.org. Self-nominations are welcome. Winners from the last five years and any properties currently for sale are not eligible. Nominations must be received by June 30.
