The City of Florence is inviting residents to participate in its citywide St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt from March 7 to 17.
Participants must find nine giant Irish symbols hidden throughout the city, which provide clues on where to find the next symbol. Participants who find all nine symbols, take selfies with each and submit them to the city will earn a prize.
The clue to find the first symbol is as follows, according to a city announcement:
“Go where they stand, the leaders who guide this bustling land. Outdoors, where the Mayor’s steps are known, the symbol you seek is there, clearly shown.” A clue to find the next symbol will be located nearby.
Scavenger hunt participants should snap a photo of themselves with each symbol and send them to scavenger.hunt@florence-ky.gov. Winners will then be emailed to claim their prizes.
The contest begins March 7.
